Project Manager, GAAC (m/f/d)
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Transparency International Secretariat is currently seeking a Project Manager, Global Anti Corruption Consortium (GACC), m/f/d to join the Projects Team.
The GACC projectis one of the organisation’s longest-running and most diverse projects, supporting mainly organisational Strategic Objectives 2 Stopping the flows of Dirty Money, and 5 – Pursuing Enforcement and Justice, but at times also contributing to other areas of work. It is the main goal of this project with global reach and a focus on cross-border and grand corruption to accelerate the impact of anti-corruption policy advocacy and legal accountability casework through close collaboration between investigative journalists and anti corruption activists. The consortium is led by the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and Transparency International.
The role requires a highly motivated professional with sound experience in complex project management and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), excellent communication skills in English (other languages an asset), partnership management experience and a strong interest in good governance, legal accountability, and civil society participation. The successful candidate will be offered a contract limited until 30 June 2025, but with high chances of extension subject to confirmation of further funding.
OVERVIEW OF KEY DIMENSIONS
Role Purpose: The Project Manager (m/f/d/), responsible for ensuring smooth implementation of one of TI’s largest and most sustainable projects, coordinating the workflow, financial and administrative management of the project and ensuring that agreed goals, best practice standards in project management and MEL, donor obligations and TI-S regulations are met relating to the project implementation by TI-S and partners.

Band: Salary according to TI-S internal salary structure; for this position corresponding to band PF2 a salary starting EUR 42,000.00 gross per year depending on relevant experience.
Starting Date: As soon as possible.
Contract Duration: Currently we can offer an employment contract until 30 June 2025, with high chance of extension
Working Hours: full time [100%; 40 hours per week]

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Based in the Projects Team, the Project Manager, Global Anti Corruption Consortium (GACC), m/f/d/ will:
- Coordinate day-to-day project implementation of the GACC Project in line with the different donor requirements, including activity planning, budget management, monitoring, and reporting, including collection of project-related impacts, striving for high-quality and gender responsive outputs and the greatest possible impact of project activities.
- Work in close collaboration and ensure ongoing communication with GACC main partner OCCRP as well as partner chapters and TI movement external partners, to support implementation of the project, enable smooth information flows, monitor and evaluate project impact, and plan advocacy interventions, legal actions and communication/outreach activities.
- Coordinate the preparation of all project management tools (project calendar, workflows, team collaboration plans, stakeholder and risk management, reporting documentation and MEL) together with relevant colleagues in other TI-S teams including Policy and Advocacy, Communications, and Global Movement.
- Ensure work deliverables meet quality standards and proactively seek input from relevant internal experts as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate regularly with the Finance team to build accurate financial forecasts, including reviewing financial reports and identifying in advance areas of over- or under-spending, and flagging any urgent budgetary issues.
- Coordinate the organisation of institutional meetings and events, and ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of project activities and the organisation of related events.
- Together with the GACC team colleagues from the Policy Advocacy Team, collaborate on advocacy planning, capacity building, network support and other efforts related directly or indirectly to the project.
- Coordinate donor engagement and relationship management in relation to the active project.
- Task management, co-ordination and mentoring of the Project Associate.
- Procure and task manage consultants as needed to complete project deliverables and MEL activities.
- Contribute to wider impact planning, reporting and co-ordination under the relevant strategic objective(s).
- Contribute to external communications and media work as needed.
- Contribute to the overall functioning of the Projects Team by providing proactive and ad hoc support where necessary.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
In order to succeed in this role, candidates will need to meet the following:
- University degree in business administration, management, finance, social science, public administration, economics, or another relevant field
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably with an International NGO or International Organisation, with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of project management best practices and including complex multi-country or multi-partner contexts
- Knowledge of, or considerable interest in, the work of TI and the field of anti-corruption and legal accountability
- Experience in managing and reporting on complex donor-funded projects in the civil society field, and with national-level civil society organisations
- Familiarity with donor rules and regulations (in particular US Department of State) a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of monitoring and evaluation, and particularly results-based management approaches an advantage; and proven track record of supporting cross-team, -country or –partner learning, connected to projects
- Demonstrable risk management experience to ensure successful delivery of project scope, quality and impact, including sound judgement and solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience of gender mainstreaming and incorporating inclusive approaches in project management
- Solid understanding of budget/financial management processes (working in collaboration with Project Accountants)
- Excellent organizational skills, structured approach to task management and ability to effectively manage complex projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and build collaborative relationships for informal influencing for project success
- Excellent oral and written communication in English, other languages an asset
- Strong communication, team work and intercultural competencies, diplomacy, and political sensitivity, particularly at distance communication
- Results-driven and resilient self-starter, highly motivated to contribute to the success of the programme and with the capacity to flourish when responding to complex and competing demands
