We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic project manager to join our small Risk & Assurance team which leads the development and operation of key aspects of BGS corporate management systems, including risk management, internal audit programmes, external accreditations, business continuity planning, and providing performance information to senior management and the BGS Board.Reporting to the Head of Risk & Assurance, you will be responsible for managing the operation of major aspects of these systems – your responsibilities/duties will include involvement in:
About you
You will have either a degree (2:2 or above) in a relevant subject e.g. Business Management, or a qualification in Risk/Business Continuity Management, or substantial work experience in either a risk & assurance role or a project management role demonstrating the capability to apply your experience to Quality/Risk/Business Continuity Management.This role will involve significant proactive engagement and communication with colleagues, staff and management throughout the organisation and beyond, requiring excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.There will be a requirement to travel occasionally to other BGS sites, NERC Head Office or other UKRI Institutes/Centres which may involve some occasional overnight stays.Please note – you will be required to have the appropriate level of security screening/vetting required for the role.
