We are recruiting for two exciting opportunities: Project Manager (Development) and Project Manager (Technical). Through a single application process, candidates can be considered for either or both roles.

The Technical role focuses on management of river enhancement projects, specifically improvements to fish passage, barrier removal and natural flood management.

About you

For the Project Manager (Development) role, you will bring experience of developing project opportunities, securing funding, preparing bids, and supporting teams to turn ideas into deliverable projects. For the Project Manager (Technical) role, you will have a strong understanding of environmental or infrastructure project delivery, with knowledge of river restoration, fish passage, natural flood management or related disciplines. Proven experience managing contractors, permissions and regulatory processes.

For both roles, you will be:

  • An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Why join us?

At the Aire Rivers Trust, we’re passionate about restoring the River Aire and empowering communities to play an active role in its future. Working with communities, landowners, local authorities, and partners, we restore habitats, enhance biodiversity, and support a thriving river environment. You’ll work in a supportive, enthusiastic team environment, with the chance to shape evolving projects. This is your chance to make a real and lasting difference to both people and the planet.
