The Role:

The role will contribute to implementing Oxfam’s emergency intervention in South Lebanon. The officer will contribute to effective and multi-level humanitarian response in Iqlim el Tofah union of municipalities. The officer will work closely with local stakeholders, local and regional authorities and partners, to ensure the delivery of tailored protection and WASH services. The Project officer is expected to support the Program Coordinator in all project activities, and execute all procurement, transportation and coordination support tasks. Moreover, the job necessitates significant level of understating and exposure to the security situation in South Lebanon and to the overall context.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

 

  • Together with the Program Coordinator, develop project work plans, spending plans, MEAL plans, and procurement plans.
  • Organize day-to-day field activities, prioritizing collaboration with local stakeholders and partner organizations.
  • Support the drafting of the project final report.
  • Attend relevant project meetings, as requested by the Program Coordinator.
  • Attend South sector meetings, as requested by the Program Coordinator.
  • Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and WASH advisor, and in collaboration with the partner organisations, prepare the terms of reference for engineering works, particularly support for Water Establishment.
  • Regular field trips to project areas, monitoring activities, meeting beneficiaries.
