We are looking for an energetic and skilled candidate to join our vibrant and dedicated team,
working to bring about nature’s recovery in North Yorkshire. 

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations
and seeks to appoint a Project Officer to work on river restoration.

This role will enable the development and delivery of river and wetland projects across the
North Yorkshire region. The post holder will take a lead on the River Foss catchment (north of
York), identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve habitat quantity and quality by
influencing the management of the watercourses. The post holder will work with the Projects
Manager to identify funding sources and develop funding bids to secure resources for project
delivery. The post holder will join the North Projects Team located at the Trust’s York Head
Office.

The ideal candidate will combine experience of project management and river and/or wetland
restoration with a flexible, positive and enthusiastic approach, and enjoy collaborating with
farmers and landowners, along with partners and other stakeholders.
