Project Officer (Water & Land Stewardship and Eden Farm Cluster)

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Project Officer in the Water and Land
Stewardship Team, supporting farms and catchment stakeholders to improve the resilience of
catchments, reduce diffuse pollution, replenish water resources, and restore nature. This is a
great opportunity to work in close partnership with the farming community and water industry to
drive landscape scale change for the Eden catchment, and support the development of
Nature-based Solutions for water across the South East. The main focus for this role is to
facilitate the establishing Lower Eden Farm Cluster, coordinating environmental outcomes at a
landscape and catchment scale whilst ensuring food security and farm productivity. You will be
closely working with Bore Place and SES Water in formalising the Eden Farmer Cluster, building
on work done by the partnership over the last few years.

While you will be hosted in the SERT Water and Land Stewardship Team, you will be spending a
significant amount of your time out in the Eden catchment, including at partners’ offices at
Bore Place in Chiddingstone, Kent TN8 7AR. This role is offered full time for 18 months, with
2.5 days per week focused on the Eden Farmer Cluster. However, we welcome applicants interested
in working reduced or flexible hours and would consider a part time role (2.5 days/week)
focused solely on the Eden Cluster.

This is a fixed term contract until 30th September 2025.
