Global Financial Firm located in MISSISSAUGA, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Project/Program Manager“This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement.****Video/ f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.Seeking a project/program management professional with 5+ years (7+ without certifications) of proven track record of PMO or Program/Portfolio Management within the Technology, Banking or Consultancy industry. In this fast-paced environment, you must be able to prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to detail, you will need to employ strong oral and written communication skills and be able to deliver on tight deadlines. Documentation preparation & review, strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile & Iterative) required.Job Background/Context:
Equities Technology is a front to back IT team that works with our Equities Business to design cutting edge solutions.Key Responsibilities:
This role will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
o Establish best practices and Client approved PPM procedures at organization PMO level
o Ensure delivery of projects in accordance with Client’s SDLC procedures which include many regulatory and compliance mandates.
o Manage release cycles, write project documentation and other project admin related tasks
o Project coordination for several areas within the Equities program/project portfolio.
o Assist technology leads and project managers in managing a large portfolio of programs and projects.
o Enforce a culture of SDLC, best practices across the technology group.
o Maintain existing departmental and Project Office policies and procedures.
o Continue to update and improve project methodologies, provide mentoring and training to other PM’s and act as an SME.
o Organize and facilitate closure of project and complete benefit analysis at the end of the project.
o Liaise with a range of teams from COO, Technology Central Business Office, Technology Leads, and Management Office team, providing insightful financial and business analyses and developing senior management reports, to define and track key operational/program metrics and to help drive business decisions to achieve goals
o Utilize proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to provide effective reporting and documentation including dashboards and scorecards
o Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks, and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders
o Self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects
o Has the confidence and ability to convincingly structure, summaries, defend and present recommendationReq. Qualifications:
o Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent
o 5+ Years relevant experience with PMP or similar certification, 7+ years of relevant experience without certificationSkills:
o Expert level experience with SDLC processes -Agile/Waterfall methodology
o Expert level experience with managing projects, tasks, workflow, and reporting in Jira
o Comfortable in using project management tools such as PTS, Planview, Clarity etc.
o Strong analytical skills
o Strong skills in data mining
o Strong listening, presentation, communication, and influencing skills. Articulates with confidence to senior management
o Strong team player
o Strong attention to detail in supporting management reporting with clear and concise data analysis and presentation
o Highly motivated and self-directed; exhibits thought leadership and strong critical thinking skills
o Strong EXCEL and PowerPoint skillsPreferences (Good to have):
o Experience in working with large project management data sets to uncover insights
o PMP / CAPM
o Agile certification
