At Clayton Legal Recruitment – We are working closely with this firm to recruit an experienced Property Litigation SolicitorTheir Property Litigation team covers the full spectrum of property disputes for both commercial and residential landowners, landlords and tenants. The team acts for a number of high profile, household names alongside a variety of developers, managing agents, investors and private clients.
The role:
As a Property Litigation Solicitor, you will largely work with autonomy on your own caseload with partner supervision and support partners on larger disputes. This is a client facing role where you will be encouraged to develop your professional skills and own business development strategies.
Key responsibilities:

  • Dealing with new enquires from new and existing clients;
  • Managing a busy caseload of a variety of disputes;
  • Taking instructions from clients, legal research, case analysis and drafting letters/emails/documents;
  • Assisting partners and senior solicitors on high value/complex disputes;
  • Managing compliance and cashflow on files;
  • Producing articles, video content and delivering external/internal training; and
  • Developing and assisting with the implementation of business development strategies.

Your caseload will cover all types of property disputes, including but not limited to:

  • Boundary and easement disputes
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Dilapidation claims
  • Contract disputes
  • Breach of covenant claims
  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • Nuisance and trespass claims
  • Break notices
  • Lease renewals
  • Forfeiture
  • Lease extensions and enfranchisement
  • Service charge disputes
  • Trusts of land disputes
  • Commercial and residential possession claims

What we are looking for:

  • A qualified solicitor with 3 – 5 years’ post qualification experience (PQE)
  • Strong academic history
  • Strong experience in property disputes
  • An ability to run your own caseload proactively and effectively
  • An outgoing and friendly manner alongside an ability to adapt and work at a fast pace
  • Excellent work ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude

£40000 – 55000 per year
