Job description
Job Summary:This position is responsible for communicating with Pratt & Whitney and to monitor the progress of engines and APUs in for repair. They will also work closely with Manager, Engineering & Propulsion to develop and maintain the engine and APU change schedule on all fleet types. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Pratt & Whitney as well as other engine component OEMs when technical issues arise.
- Create and maintain engine removal schedule.
- Liase with Pratt & Whitney shop to ensure TATs are met
- Aid shop with QEC build-up and teardown procedures and technical queries.
- Track and assess engine airworthiness directives, service bulletins, modifications and service letters.
- Assist stores with part disposition with regards to reparability or scrapping and monitor parts removed for troubleshooting status.
- Assist purchasing and warranty with PN effectivity, technical queries and sourcing of tooling and equipment when necessary.
- Participate with OEM and vendor working groups to ensure product improvement and bring Porter concerns to them for action.
- Utilization of the Safety Management System [SMS] reporting program and adherence to the Safety Policy.
- Travel in support of on-site shop visits for unscheduled removals, investigations and process inspections as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Transport Canada issued AME M2 license or equivalent required
- DHC-8-Q400 and/or Embraer E1 or E2 experience an asset
- Valid passport and ability to travel an asset
- Well organized, detail oriented and able to work autonomously
- Proven self-starter with good time management skills and able to multi-task
- Able to obtain airside security clearance
- No criminal record as per TC CARs
- Valid G driver’s license
- Knowledge of RAAS (Remote Access Aviation System) and AMOS an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel an asset
