Introduction
Service Description: Provision of emergency medical evacuation and paramedic services to UN Staff in Zimbabwe
Background: To achieve greater efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and consistent quality of service, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on behalf of the United Nations System in Zimbabwe, intends to establish one or more Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) with qualified ambulance service providers for the provision of emergency medical transportation services. The services described in these Terms of Reference (TOR) will be available to eligible staff members and their registered dependents across participating United Nations entities in Zimbabwe.
The United Nations System in Zimbabwe has incurred an average annual expenditure of approximately USD7, 600, with a high of about USD13, 000 on ambulance services over the past three years. Expenditure in 2026 and subsequent years is expected to remain broadly at similar levels. This figure is provided for planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment or guarantee of any minimum or maximum volume of services under the LTA.
Accordingly, UNDP invites bids from qualified and reputable service providers capable of delivering the required services in accordance with these Terms of Reference.
Interested suppliers must submit their offer directly in the system as instructed in the solicitation document, following the instructions in the available user guide.
