Join our dynamic school as a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant and make a real difference!About Us: At our ‘Outstanding’ SEN Schools in Southwark and Lambeth, we believe in the transformative power of Psychology knowledge to support and encourage our students. This is working with students from the ages of three through to nineteen.Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and supportive lessons
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome academic and personal challenges
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies and promote positive interactions
- Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in mainstream and SEN settings
- Contribute to the development of individualised education plans (IEPs) and monitor students’ progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged
What We’re Looking For:
- A recent graduate with a degree in Psychology or a related field
- A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to engaging students
- Experience working with students with SEND is advantageous but not essential

Requirements:
- Experience working with students with SEND in a mainstream or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting
- A patient and understanding approach
- A flexible approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Existing DBS check on the update service
- Experience with PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method, and other augmentative and alternative communication approaches are advantageous but not essential
