Job Advertisement: Psychology Graduate Teaching AssistantTeaching Personnel is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to join an Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school in Wilmslow as a Teaching Assistant. This full-time position begins in January and continues through to the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent role depending on performance.About the Role:
This position is ideal for a Psychology graduate who is considering a career in education, mental health, or youth development. As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in a supportive and structured environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Use your knowledge of psychology to understand and respond to student needs, developing tailored strategies for their success.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to adapt lessons and materials to meet individual student requirements.
• Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting confidence and engagement.
• Assist students in developing essential skills such as resilience, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Provide support during non-classroom activities, such as break and lunch, encouraging social interaction and confidence.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in working with young people and supporting their development.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to a variety of situations.
• Be proactive and collaborative, working effectively as part of a team.
• Be available full-time from January through to the end of the academic year.

Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.What We Offer:
