Job Summary
The PubSec Field Technical Strategist – Microsoft will be responsible for supporting the Microsoft Account Executive and providing the customer with technical guidance when implementing and consuming Microsoft Technologies.
The PubSec Field Technical Strategist, Microsoft will report to the PubSec District Manager – Microsoft. PubSec FTS is expected to spend time interfacing and building relationships with existing and potential SHI customers, the MS Account Executive team and other internal support organizations and Microsoft. They will provide support in identifying new opportunities, networking, and following up on potential leads. The PubSec FTS must be a continuous learner and curious about current and future Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
-
Build and maintain relationship with Microsoft Customer Technical Specialists
-
Build and maintain relationship with customer Online Service Manager
-
Collaborate on RFPs and provide mentorship and insight into current MS offerings
-
Oversee account prioritization, solution, and sales play creation to help educate and enable sales
-
Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to drive SHI value in MS sales
-
Hold one to many seminars on MS technology
-
Identify and pursue top priority opportunities
-
Collaborate with Microsoft support resources with goal of efficient and accurate customer communication
-
Act as liaison between Microsoft Account Executive (MAE) and Advanced Solutions Group
-
Collaborate with Core SE on strategic customer planning and opportunity development
-
Meet with customers to consult on Microsoft products, implementation, and adoption strategies.

Recommend third party solutions when indicated

Develop demos for popular Microsoft use cases to drive professional services engagements

Participate and present in MAE training program
-
Achieve technical and administrative Microsoft Certifications as needed
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
-
Minimum 5+ years background administering MS technology, outside sales or equivalent technical experience

Experience present to and/or working with C-Level executives
-
Possess a proven track record in attaining sales goals and quotas

Demonstrated ability to put together proposals and sales strategy for prospect

Ongoing Certification Requirements:

Acquire accreditations and meet other training requirements throughout the lifetime of the role

Every 6 months will take and pass a Microsoft Exam (Advanced)
Unique Requirements

Overnight travel may be required.

Position requires travel to company events and meetings
Additional Information
-
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 – $180,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
