Working independently and within a team environment, to ensure the quality of products throughout the production process. Development and amendments of new and existing processes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First piece inspection report process.
  • Non-conformance reporting processes.
  • Work with other departments to resolve problems and identify root causes.
  • Ability to train/mentor QMS processes to other departments. Assist in auditing QMS procedures/processes.
  • Process development: writing/revising QMS documentation.
  • Final review of product/documentation to ensure all departments in compliance with QMS processes.
  • Knowledge of all applicable ISO procedures and requirements.
  • Appraisal of parts using measurement equipment. Calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of required settings for weld machines. Audit weld department on applicable processes.
  • Good product knowledge, able to identify key/critical features.
  • Knowledge regarding gauges and sheet metal standards.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of product requirements for painting. Audit painting department on applicable processes.
  • Assist receiving personnel with inspections of supplied parts.
  • Verify heat numbers are approved; work with purchasing/press shop to resolve issues.
  • Heat log process: enter in heat numbers used by press shop in log.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a college or university program in a related field is preferred.
  • At least three years’ experience.
  • CWB knowledge and certification if required.

  • Legal status to work in Canada is required.
