Description: In-Country Quality Analyst for the F-35 Quality & Mission Success organization located at the F-35 Final Assembly and Check Out (FACO) facility in Nagoya, Japan. Responsible for providing technical assistance and advisement related to QA policies, procedures for tools, parts, assemblies, and complete aircraft operations, and practices related to quality oversight in manufacturing and field operations environments. Candidate will act as an extension of their team and assist in performing activities such as nonconformance triage and process/build surveillance as needed.

– Candidate will provide technical assistance to MHI in the development of procedures and processes for material acceptance, material recall, inspection requirements and customer product acceptance including aircraft and support equipment as applicable.

– Candidate will be responsible for communications and coordination with LM-Aero, MHI, and DCMA personnel to ensure compliance of contractual quality requirements.

– Candidate will ensure that MHI has the necessary

inspection points (including any Safety of Flight Inspections) identified, defined in work instructions, and conducted using appropriate tools and techniques.

– Selected candidate will assist MHI with the identification, development and coordination of corrective and preventive action.

– Additionally, the candidate will assist with data reconciliation and aircraft presentation to the customer for in-process assessments and final DD250.

– Candidate will be required to interface within a multi organizational environment, supporting the Technical Assist Team in MHI and in Fort Worth, all levels of management, technical subject matter experts, manufacturing team, flight operations personnel, and customer representatives.

Basic Qualifications:

– Experience with the AS-9100 industry standards and DCMA requirements

– Familiarity with Material Review processes, inspection tools and techniques, QADS, SQM, and associated nonconformance documentation

– Experience conducting causal analyses/problem solving, corrective and preventive action, continuous improvement methods and techniques

– Experience promoting supplier awareness of performance expectations, technical instructions and verification requirements for process and product compliance

– Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

– Relocation to Nagoya, Japan

Desired Skills:

– Experience with F-35 Production Verification in Quality Assurance

-Final Assembly Operations or Flight line experience; including aircraft release and DD250 process

-Familiarity with Safety of Flight Inspections, customer coordination, and product/process verification responsibilities

– Experience as an international customer support, field quality service representative

– Design for manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, Green/Black Belt certifications

– Specific experience with material/aircraft survey processes or modification completion and customer closure processes

– Japanese language skills

– Communication and presentation experience

– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

– 10 years or more of professional experience

– An emerging authority in discipline

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
