You will have the opportunity to work with creative and highly engaged people who will support you in your success.Job DescriptionReporting to the Operations Coordinator, the Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for improving and implementing effective processes and tools to support the delivery of optimization projects and the management of the quality assurance program. You will be called upon to support various departments to improve their practices. With your knowledge of quality management and continuous improvement tools, including LEAN, you will bring a structured approach to meeting needs.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify improvement opportunities and take charge of projects (e.g., optimizing and planning production schedules, optimizing physical inventory management, issuing corrective and preventive actions by department, drafting/improving/updating various company processes, etc.).
- Manage the quality assurance program and its improvement, as well as ISO certification activities.
- Implement and maintain performance indicators for quality and continuous improvement in different departments.
- Establish an effective non-conformity (NC) management system and support teams as needed.
- Participate in internal audits and make necessary corrections as required.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the company.
- Lead and coordinate continuous improvement activities: Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, VSM, etc.
- Train and coach teams in connection with continuous improvement.
- Supervise a team of 4-5 production team leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or DEC in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Lean tools.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset.
- Proficiency in French, functional English (asset).
- Dynamic individual with a strong ability to implement changes.
- Ability to positively influence peers.
- Strong emotional intelligence to mobilize teams while challenging the status quo.
- Rigor and discipline with a business mindset.
- Strong leadership skills and adaptability.
