We want to talk to you!Join our community:We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quantitative Risk Manager to join us in London. The role holder will be part of the methodology team who are responsible for the development of risk methodologies used across the wider risk department supporting the bank’s stronger foundations.This role will sit within Quantitative Risk Group (QRG) and will focus on market risk and counterparty credit risk models as well as building and supporting a QRG library of python code.The difference you’ll make:Developing models end to end from design to implementation, including designing model monitoring framework for counterparty credit risk, market data/risk modelsWorking collaboratively with other Quants within QRG on specific project and to build and maintain the python code libraryWorking closely with the Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk and Front Office teams to provide quantitative support and practical solutions in a timely mannerDemonstrating an understanding of derivatives across asset classes (Fixed Income, FX, Equity etc.), from a theoretical perspectiveManaging model risk, including closure of Internal Validation recommendations in a timely mannerCoaching/mentoring other members of the teamWhat you’ll bring:Advanced technical background and experience in the finance industry with proven working experience of statistical modelling in market risk or counterparty credit riskAdvanced knowledge/experience of Python in a business contextIt would also be nice for you to have:Theoretical understanding of valuation and pricing models of financial products and derivatives and of risk management methodologies (e.g. VaR, Stress Testing)Experience as a Quant developer in financial servicesOther languages such as R, VBA or C++A postgraduate qualification/PhD or equivalentWhat else you need to know:We want our people to thrive at work and home, and we recognise that many people benefit from flexible arrangements.
