This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly experienced engineers. You will be educated to B.Sc. degree level or equivalent in electronics/electrical engineering, with extensive experience working with radiotherapy linear accelerators.Linacs are highly complex patient critical systems and our expert engineering team provides all maintenance and repairs, with no external manufacturer contracts, hence you will be working in a dynamic environment where each day can hold a multitude of challenges and opportunities to learn.The department boasts fully equipped electronics and mechanical workshops to enable on site repairs and to assist in the development of bespoke projects, and provides a full range of radiotherapy scientific and technical services, including 3D-printing and a Clinical Scientific Computing Group. Major equipment includes 5 Varian TB linacs, a radiotherapy CT, a Flexitron unit and an X-Strahl unit.Applicants with less experience may be considered for a post at a lower level.Main duties of the job
