Ranger Team Leader

Basingstoke and Deane is seeking a Ranger Service Team Leader. This person will be responsible
for leading the delivery of habitat management work on c300ha of natural green space owned and
managed by the council. They will help foster a strong working relationship with current and
future volunteer groups and lead the 6-person ranger team on a day-to-day basis. 

We are looking for someone who is experienced in delivering land management work programmes on
a range of habitats including species rich grassland, woodland and water. They will also have
strong people management skills and have experience of setting up and working with volunteers,
including a clear understanding of health and safety issues. Finally, they must be able to
engender excitement and interest around the biodiversity work of the council.
