Job descriptionA highly innovative manufacturer in the Cardiff area currently requires an R&D Manger to manage, develop and grow their R&D team. The successful R&D Manger will be managing the development and introduction of new technologies for their genuinely innovative products, throughout the concept phase and into development. You will be working on genuinely innovative and high tech products which will have a huge impact on people’s lives. Researching new technologies and their applications to assist design and manufacturing. You will be an experienced leader, who can motivate and inspire the team to get the best from them. The right candidate will either be an experienced manager or a senior engineer (with some supervisory/managerial experience) ready to take a step up in their career.On offer is a highly competitive salary and benefits package (10-15% bonus, high-rate pension, private medical insurance etc.), as well as the opportunity to work on genuinely innovative products within a growing company.Experience/Skills:
- Degree educated in a relevant discipline (i.e. mechanical engineering), ideally with a postgraduate degree (Masters/PhD) although this is not essential
- Experienced in the development of new technology and the introduction of new technology into products and manufacturing
- Experienced leader and/or capable to motivate and inspire a team, getting the best out of people
Expected salary
£60000 – 65000 per year
