R&D Principal Engineer – Medical Device NPI (Plymouth, MN)
As a Principal Engineer you will support new product development programs aimed at treating vascular diseases from our Plymouth, MN office.
Your role:
-
Executing research and development activities from the concept stage of product development through Commercialization. In addition to project-related activities, you will also assist in the development of the Philips Image-Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) QMS design controls process.

Leading and supporting detailed design and testing of development and commercialized products, ensuring that product designs meet specifications, and identifying and recommending solutions for complex technical issues.

Conducting product idea development, prototyping, product specification development, test method development, test protocol and report writing.
You’re the right fit if:

You’ve acquired 10+ years of experience in New Product Introduction, R&D Engineering or Sustaining Engineering.

Your skills include strong knowledge and experience with design control, statistical analysis, and technical writing skills.

You’ve supported single use medical devices that integrate electrical components (IEC 60601).

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related professional experience.

You’re an excellent communicator, have strong documentation skills, have proven leadership experience and have a coaching/mentorship mindset.

You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
