Religious Education Teacher
Location: Newham, London

As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will embark on an exciting journey to guide students through the fascinating world of religious thought and practice. You’ll be instrumental in broadening their horizons, encouraging critical thinking, and supporting them in developing a profound understanding of global cultures and values.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ignite Curiosity: Develop and deliver dynamic, thought-provoking lessons that bring religious studies to life.
  • Foster Inclusivity: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respectful dialogue and exploration of diverse beliefs.
  • Tailor Your Teaching: Adapt your strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring everyone is engaged and inspired.
  • Monitor Progress: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them thrive.
  • Innovate Curriculum: Contribute to the development of the religious studies curriculum, incorporating creative and relevant teaching resources.
  • Collaborate and Share: Work with fellow educators to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methodologies.
  • Engage Beyond the Classroom: Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events, enriching the overall educational experience for students.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for religious education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school community.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
