This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, encouraging them to explore diverse religious beliefs, ethical issues, and moral questions.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum, fostering students’ understanding of world religions, ethics, and philosophy.
• Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that encourages students to discuss and reflect on different religious and ethical perspectives.
• Differentiate lessons to cater to the varied needs and abilities of all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
• Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
• Prepare students for GCSE RE exams, ensuring they are confident in discussing complex religious texts, ethical dilemmas, and philosophical concepts.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the RE curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, comprehensive, and inspiring.
• Promote a classroom culture of respect, empathy, and open-mindedness towards diverse beliefs and viewpoints.
• Participate in school events, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities to support students’ wider learning and development.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject.
• Experience teaching RE at the secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for Religious Education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Effective classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Passion for Religious Education and a dedication to helping students develop a deeper understanding of global religions, moral issues, and personal beliefs.
• Willingness to participate in professional development and contribute to the broader school community.
