Regional Director, Global Health & Development (Asia)

Position description

Are you ready to lead in a mission-driven organisation focused on building a global health portfolio in the international development sector – working with donors and governments to improve health systems and health outcomes?

This exciting role at International SOS offers you the opportunity to shape our vision and strategy for Global Health in the Asia region.

What success looks like

As the Regional Director (Asia) of global health and development, you will drive new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and serve as a key representative to donor, government and private sector clients.

Your expertise will position International SOS as a trusted leader in global health and development solutions. This will ultimately contribute to sustainable improvements in healthcare systems across Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in creating the commercial roadmap for International SOS’s growth in global health and development in Asia.
  • Act as a “positioning lead” by raising awareness and preference for International SOS solutions in government marketplaces through networking, educational initiatives, and participation in symposiums, working groups, and networking events.
  • Establish client relationship management and business development priorities based on comprehensive market and competition analysis within Asia, aligning our capabilities with funding priorities.
  • Identify and map various funding mechanisms within the region, focusing on major donors (e.g. USAID, DFAT, FCDO, Multilateral Development Banks, Global Fund) and innovatively leveraging these funds directly or indirectly.
  • Collaborate across functions and geographies to deliver seamless, world-class solutions.

About you

  • We are looking for someone with proven experience in the international development and global health sectors. You will bring excellent networking and strategic thinking skills, a track record of winning contracts, and the ability to work effectively across cultures. Fluency in English is essential, and familiarity with local languages is a plus.
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills with the ability to move these conversations to successful strategic and commercial partnerships.
  • Pre-existing network and knowledge of key players (Donors, Governments, Multilateral Development Banks, NGOs) in the region.

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent regional travel to visit clients, sites, and partners throughout the region.
