We have over 30 clinics and are seeking an experienced Audiology lead to manage our operations and ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence and operational efficiency across our practices.Role Overview:We are looking for an experienced Audiology lead to guide our team in delivering top-notch audiology services. You will provide clear direction and leadership to all Audiology staff while supporting the companys initiatives. This role is responsible for the development, motivation, and performance of the Audiology team, ensuring the achievement and maintenance of CQC and other national standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled leader to advance our Audiology services and contribute to our ongoing growth.To succeed in this role, you will need senior experience as an audiologist and a proven track record in managerial positions. Excellent management and operational skills, along with a proactive and flexible approach, are essential. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to achieve key targets and boost hearing aid sales. - Provide clear direction and leadership to all Audiology staff while supporting the company’s initiatives.
- Ensure high standards of audiological services, including accurate assessments, hearing aid fittings, and patient counselling.
- Develop and standardise clinical protocols for consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Provide ongoing training for clinical staff in audiological techniques and technologies.
- Oversee patient care strategies, including managing complex cases.
- Participate in strategic planning for business growth and efficiency.
- Manage sales and administrative staff, including training and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with HCPC regulations and standards.
- Manage procurement, maintenance, and upgrading of clinical equipment.
- Implement systems to improve operational efficiency, including appointment scheduling and patient flow management.
- Lead and motivate the sales and reception team to achieve sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for hearing aid sales and related services.
- Provide training to the sales team on product knowledge and customer service.
- Monitor sales performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Enhance the customer journey to promote loyalty and referrals.
- Develop and execute client retention programs.
- Implement systems for capturing customer feedback and managing complaints.
- Collaborate with the marketing department on promotional materials and campaigns.
- Establish relationships with industry partners, healthcare providers, and community organisations.
Qualifications:
- MSc in Audiological Science or equivalent.
- BSc Audiology or BTEC qualification in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement.
- Evidence of CPD.
- Registered to practice as an audiologist/clinical scientist with HCPC or RCCP.
- Proven experience in audiology and clinical management, preferably in a private clinic.
- Strong leadership and operational management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and processes.
Person Specification:Essential:
- Qualified practitioner with significant clinical experience.
- Experience in a lead or deputy managerial role within audiology services.
- Responsible for areas of specialty within audiology and/or general administration.
- Experience of coordinating and running own clinic.
- Demonstrate operational managerial responsibility.
- Significant experience of working at a senior level demonstrating clinical competency within a relevant clinical area.
- Experience in managing staff using performance management and appraisal disciplinary and sickness absence policies/procedures.
- Evidence and experience of leading change demonstrating sustained improvements.
- Experience of staff management, service development, and change management.
- IT proficient with knowledge of audiological test procedures.
- Ability to manage team workloads and plan efficiently.
- Strong prioritization and organisational skills.
- Empathy for working with vulnerable families and carers.
- Demonstrates understanding of issues surrounding hearing impairment.
Desirable:
- Diploma/Postgraduate certificate in management.
- British Sign Language or Deaf Awareness Qualification.
- Membership of BAA and/or BSA.
- Experience in achieving IQIPS accreditation.
- Working towards PhD or other postgraduate qualification.
