We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewUnder the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.Experience

• Recent dialysis experience required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Successful completion of Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• CRNM registration/eligibility for registration required.
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bilingualism required (ability to understand and speak English/French). **
• Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).

**The candidate must be able to understand and speak French at a proficiency level that allows them to sustain varied in-depth conversations with patients and families. Language proficiency will be evaluated in order to assess the applicant’s proficiency level. • Day shifts are between the hours of 0730 and 1545.
• Evening shifts are between the hours of 1130 and 2345.
• There are also standby on call shifts on this unit.
