Surgery 2 RPNRVH has the largest surgical program in the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network (NSM LHIN) with 65% of surgeons and approximately 80,000 surgical cases annually.As the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) you are a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, the College of Nurses (CNO), and all relevant legislation.As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:
- Registered Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent education to practice at full scope
- Completion of recognized Medication Administration Course
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS
- Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession
- Membership in professional association specific to nursing service area
- Functions independently within scope of practice
- Computer literacy in current software applications

- Orthopedic/urology surgery experience and/or education (preferred)
