Job Title: Remote Power Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Remote Power Systems Engineer with experience in medium voltage switchgear (IEC), protection, reliant relay programming, and automatic voltage regulator design or modification. The role involves working with gas turbines on vessels (marine experience), conducting power systems studies including short circuit flash studies, and making interface and interconnects for medium voltage systems. The candidate will program relays and work on IEC medium voltage systems with a focus on marine applications.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years of experience
• Hands-on experience with relevant equipment
• Medium Voltage expertise
• Relay programming experience
• Marine experience (building ships)
• Experience in Marine System Integration involving Energy storage systems, power generation, and distribution (AC & DC)

Job Type

This is a full time, permanent position that will be structured as a Contract-to-Hire position.

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

100% Remote. Travel to Houston, TX, on a quarterly basis, if necessary. Team of about 10 Engineers, Manager, Project Leads, and Power Systems & Automation Engineers.
