The roleWe are hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to join a UKRI funded (ERC selected) project on policy and treatment evaluation entitled “POTEMU: Policy and Treatment Evaluation under Model Uncertainty”. The PDRA will have expertise in econometrics, statistics and data science, preferably with a background in nonparametric analysis and causal inference. The PDRA will join the team for 2 years.The project seeks to extend the scope of existing statistical methods for policy and treatment evaluation by allowing for model misspecification. A central aspect of the project will be to develop estimation methods and software for distributional policy and treatment effects.What will you be doing?The post holder will be involved with various parts of the project, and help:
- Develop a literature review of research on policy and treatment evaluation under model misspecification.
- Develop software (R, python) for estimation methods used and developed in the project.
- Develop an interactive web platform for implementing estimation methods used and developed in the project.
- Identify and manage relevant datasets used for empirical applications in the project.
- Provide support with simulations and data analysis.
- Contribute to the management and development of team activities.
- Coordinate and convene meetings of academic collaborators and work with the project team to expand the scope of the project’s methods.
You should apply ifYou have recently completed a PhD in Economics, with a specialisation in microeconometrics and causal inference.
