The role holder is expected to lead the characterisation of the thermoelectric physics by temperature transport and magnetic resonance measurements. You will be expected to participate actively in collaborations with other researchers and PhD students working on related projects, as well as national and international partners. You will have a strong background in semiconductor physics and experience in temperature dependent transport measurements on organic semiconductors. The post will provide the opportunity to enroll in the PhD programme at the Department of Physics. You will have completed a Masters-level degree in a relevant field such as Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related disciplines. You must provide the names and contact details of two referees who are familiar with your work/studies in the relevant field. You will need to meet all prerequisites for admission to the PhD programme in the Department of Physics (please refer to: ).If you register as a full-time PhD student at the University and study for the degree, you may apply to pay staff rate tuition fees for the PhDThe position is available from October 2024.Depending on circumstances, the University might not be able to sponsor an overseas candidate for this role. Please see the attached further information file for more role specific details.Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2027 in the first instance.Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.Click the ‘Apply’ button below to register an account with our recruitment system (if you have not already) and apply online.Enquiries should be sent to the Kapitza Hub ( ).
