We’re in search of a analysis assistant or post-doctoral researcher within the UK-Eire Collaboration specialising within the Digital Humanities to help with a  analysis venture titled; Harnessing digital applied sciences to remodel understanding of Ogham writing, from the 4th century to the twenty first (OG(H)AM; URL: https://ogham.glasgow.ac.uk/ ).

Funded by the Irish Analysis Council (grant quantity IRC/W001985/1) and the Arts and Humanities Analysis Council, and led by Professor David Stifter, collectively with the UK Co-PI Professor Katherine Forsyth, we count on to make a big contribution to the understanding of the historic growth of the usage of Ogham within the long-term perspective.

The place of the researcher includes digitising Ogham inscriptions. Digitisation will consist primarily of encoding knowledge in TEI XML format for the venture’s digital corpus of Ogham. It could occasionally additionally entail helping in fieldwork for 3D-recording of objects with inscriptions.

Appointments can be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
