Job description
The principle objective of this function is to undertake top quality analysis into interrogating the evolutionary divergence of nuclear envelope organisation and remodelling and help the PI in driving analysis within the lab. The analysis undertaking entails a spread of quantitative cell biology methodologies along with molecular biology, omics, lab evolution and biochemistry approaches within the two species of fission yeasts, S. pombe and S. japonicus.
It’s best to have intensive experience in fission yeast molecular genetics and fluorescence microscopy, together with confocal microscopy, along with picture processing and analyses. The appointee is predicted to be skilled in useful genomics (e.g., RNA-seq), structural genomics (e.g., Micro-C chromatin seize) and related bioinformatic analyses.
