Research Associate (Buckley Lab)

Applications are welcomed for an outstanding researcher to join us as the Buckley lab (@LabBuckley) moves to the exciting Division of Molecular & Cellular Function at the University of Manchester (@MCF_UoM) in 2024. Start date is flexible. Funding is initially available for 1 year, to support the successful candidate to write postdoctoral fellowship applications.The successful candidate will use cutting edge optogenetic, live imaging and quantitative analysis approaches to understand how mechanics and biochemical signalling work together to shape epithelial organs. Candidates should be passionate about and have specialist experience in developmental morphogenesis/ epithelial biology/ biophysics/ mechanobiology. Experience in quantitative image analysis/ modelling/ zebrafish /stem cell culture would be advantageous. A key requirement is a professional and collaborative work ethos, and a willingness to proactively develop creative approaches to challenging research problems.Interviews to be held week commencing 5 August 2024What you will get in return:
