We are seeking an exceptional candidate to perform research in the general area of synthetic and mechanistic, molecular low oxidation state s-block heterobimetallic chemistry.You will be expected to synthesise a range of highly reactive low oxidation state main group element species, perform mechanistic analyses and draft papers. All new compounds will be analysed by a combination of multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and mass spectrometry.This position is offered on a full time basis, fixed term until 12th January 2026.About youA background in the use of these techniques, previous experience in the synthesis, characterisation of highly air- and moisture-sensitive s- and p-block amides and organometallics, and a record of accomplishment of peer-reviewed publications are essential.Our ideal candidate will also have:
