Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral research associate to join the Tumour Microenvironment and Metastasis group at the University of Manchester. You will use in vivo breast cancer models, omics-based approaches, and in vitro studies to unpick how the aged and fibrotic microenvironment impacts tumour cell dormancy and metastasis, with the aim of uncovering novel therapeutic approaches to limit breast cancer relapse. The position will be in the Oglesby Cancer Research Building, a stimulating and collaborative research environment with state-of-the-art facilities. The applicant will have a PhD in relevant research area, experience in cancer biology and be driven to understand the tumour cell-niche crosstalk mechanisms that underpin breast cancer metastasis.
