You will work as part of a research team within the centre to examine how algorithms and data analysis tools can support the transition to greener transportation solutions.The ideal candidate:
- has completed (or submitted) a PhD in operational research and/or transportation
- has knowledge of optimisation algorithms, both exact and heuristic
- have published (or have a manuscript under review) in an ABS3, ABS4, ABS4* journal (the ABS list can be found here
) * they are very proficient in at least one of these programming languages: C++/Java/PythonFurther informationAs a member of Research Staff at the University of Bath, you will be encouraged to take up a minimum of 10 days professional development pro rata per year”A lower grade offer may be made (Grade 6) with comparable reduction in responsibilities and amendment in job title to Research Assistant, if a suitable applicant cannot be found to fill the Grade 7 position.
