Research Associate / Senior Research Associate in Mathematical and Statistical Modelling of Infectious Disease

The roleWe have an excellent opportunity for postdoctoral researcher(s) who are ready to advance their career in infectious disease modelling. We are looking for motivated research scientists to join our growing team of infectious disease modellers and statisticians in the Department of Engineering Mathematics and the Bristol Vaccine Centre (BVC) at the University of Bristol.The post will have a focus on understanding the spread and severity of respiratory infections including pneumococcus, RSV and COVID-19. A major part of the role will be to support the design, implementation and analysis of infectious disease surveillance studies, and to quantify the effect of vaccines.You will be working closely with leading scientists in vaccine trials (Prof Adam Finn) and infectious disease transmission modelling and data analysis (Dr Leon Danon) in an interdisciplinary role. This is an exceptional opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research on highly policy relevant studies.What will you be doing?
