LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university.PhD AcademyResearch Degrees OfficerSalary from £35,758 to £40,741 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £43,604 pa inclusive of London allowanceThis is a fixed term appointment for 12 monthsThe PhD Academy offers centralised services, social space and advanced training to the School’s doctoral students. It also hosts the LSE’s ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership.The PhD Academy is looking to appoint a Research Degrees Officer to support the administration of research degrees with responsibility for PhD examinations, student administration, and support and advice for academic departments. The post holder will also occasionally support the provision of training and events for PhD students.You must have a good educational background and sound IT skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and student database systems. You will have previous work experience in an administrative capacity in a higher education environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as this role will involve working with a variety of students, faculty, and staff.
