University of Bristol

We are seeking to appoint an International Research Development Officer to work on the University’s International research portfolio, primarily supporting the facilitation of global research development through international collaboration and researcher mobility. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly valued team based within the Division of Research, Enterprise and Innovation.

You will assist the Research Development International Team in developing and promoting the University’s international research portfolio across all university faculties, under the direction of the Research Development Managers. This role will be primarily based in the International Research Development sub-team, which delivers a portfolio of activities focussed on research development in collaboration with international academics. The majority of the schemes involving bringing international scholars to Bristol to work with our academic community. This will be a varied role, with a range of different tasks.

Your role will involve supporting research funding calls, including preparing and updating call documents, promoting the schemes internally and externally, responding to queries from applicants, and administrating the panel review and grant award process.

You will also support logistics for the visitors coming to Bristol, including arranging accommodation, processing payments, and being a primary point of contact for visitors. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating and delivering events (both in person and online), horizon scanning work, placing orders and processing invoices, arranging meetings, taking minutes, collating data, and drafting reports. • 23 days of annual leave per year plus 7 university closure dates and bank holidays
  • Automatic entry to attractive pension scheme
