Overall Purpose of the JobA Research Associate/Research engineer position is available for a biomaterials/Tissue engineer to conduct research on in vitro models supporting the development of a cutting-edge PEEK product for cartilage repair. This position will be within the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering group, based in the Department of Materials and the Henry Royce Institute, in close collaboration with Invibio Biomaterials Solutions, their partners, and clinicians. Your role will involve optimising the properties of PEEK and porous PEEK for cartilage repair. As a subject matter expert, you will be expected to support and advise us at all stages of product development and risk assessment. You should maintain a high degree of accuracy and be capable of writing and presenting your work both internally and for broader dissemination. A PhD (or equivalent) in tissue engineering is required, and knowledge of collagen and cartilage repair will be highly desirable.What you will get in return
