Job Description:Grade UE07: £40,247 – £47,874 per annumCMVM / Institute for Regeneration and Repair / Centre for Inflammation ResearchFull-time: 35 hours per weekFixed Term: 12 monthsWe are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and talented researcher in Health Informatics.This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.The Opportunity:The successful candidate would lead on a project that addresses several of the UK’s top ten priorities in epilepsy research.Your skills and attributes for success:
- PhD or equivalent (or will be shortly awarded a PhD) with related work experience in a relevant discipline e.g. Medical Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology or Public Health.
- Experience with successful application for access to Scotland wide datasets
- Experience with working with eDRIS to obtained linked datasets
- Experience in the application of statistical methods to address public health research questions (e.g. use of regression models).
- Excellent working knowledge of a statistical software (R or SPSS or STATA preferred).
