The project aims to explore how digital literacy resources can be effectively developed and implemented to support young people’s critical engagement with digital technologies and policymaking processes.The primary purpose of this role is to conduct research and develop evidence-based digital literacy resources that empower young people to navigate and critically engage with their digital worlds. • Design and coordinate qualitative research studies on digital literacy and its impact on young people and policymakers.
• Conduct literature reviews and synthesize existing research on digital literacy, youth engagement, and policy development.
• Develop and secure ethical approval for research studies in line with UCL’s research governance.
• Recruit and engage participants, including young people, educators, and policymakers.
• Collect and analyze qualitative research data using methods such as interviews, focus groups, and participatory workshops.
• Use software such as NVivo and other qualitative analysis tools to manage and analyze data.
• Contribute to external funding bids for related research projects.
• Facilitate dialogue between young people and policymakers to ensure research findings contribute to policy discussions.
• Develop accessible reports, toolkits, and policy briefs based on research findings.
• Present research findings at academic conferences, workshops, and public engagement events.
• Support project administration, including coordinating meetings and maintaining project documentation.
