DepartmentThe Older Adults’ Social Care Applied Research (OSCAR) Group at the University of York is expanding as it takes on new roles in designing and delivering the highest quality social care research. In recent years, the Group has been awarded important new national responsibilities for social care research infrastructure, including leadership of the NIHR School for Social Care Research, and the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) Specialist Centre for Social Care. It has also attracted substantial new investment through successive competitive grant successes for new studies of benefit to those who draw on social care support. This new capacity-building position is aimed at supporting our expansion and seeking to establish future leading researchers in social care.RoleWe are seeking an experienced researcher whose skills and ambitions align with this expansion, who bring an established track record in academic publication and an emerging trajectory towards greater independence. The role will initially support several key studies in our portfolio, including York’s Research Support Service and its Specialist Centre for Social Care, offering advice and guidance to research teams and social care practitioners with their research ideas. Furthermore, you will support our wider research programme through the School for Social Care Research, contributing to studies around older people and their social care.and our research programme funded through the School for Social Care Research.Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
