Job description

You will be an active member within the Ocular Drug Delivery research group in the School of Pharmacy, Queen’s University Belfast. You will be the active member of the spinout company, Re-Vana Therapeutics, a nonclinical stage company focused on developing innovative long-acting drug delivery systems. You will be assisting in the design, development, and evaluation of long-acting drug delivery systems for biologics so that the overall project objectives are met.About the person:The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a 2:1 Honours Degree or equivalent in biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology or related sciences.
  • Have or be about to obtain* a PhD degree in biotechnology, biochemistry or related area (*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment).
  • Have relevant experience in laboratory-based research to include the following:
  • At least 1 year of industrial experience in protein/biologics purification and characterisation.
  • Experience in biologic specific analytical methods namely SEC-HPLC, ITC, Biacore and LC-MS/MS.
  • Experience in working in GLP/GMP environments.
