Postdoctoral Fellows will simultaneously conduct multi-site comparative ethnography at each site (likely Oaxaca, Cali, or Bayamón), investigating how incarceration perpetuates racially unequal health and wellbeing profiles among families and communities. After fieldwork, Research Fellows are expected to return to the United Kingdom to complete the remainder of the fellowship, where they will contribute to the Department of Anthropology and focus on developing their publications and academic trajectories, contributing as active members of UCL’s academic community. For informal enquiries, please contact Dr Caroline Parker ( ).If you need reasonable adjustments or a more accessible format to apply for this job online or have any queries regarding the application process, please contact .The roles will be available starting September 2025 and funded by the Wellcome Trust for four years.About youYou will hold a PhD in anthropology, medical anthropology, medical sociology, or a related field combined with fluent or bilingual Spanish.
