Within these departments are world class research centres, specialising in various surgical and interventional fields. Our close ties with the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust foster a unique interface between science and clinical practice.The Division also offers teaching and training in a wide range of subjects with intercalated BSc options for UCL medical students, direct MBBS teaching, undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research programmes for both clinicians and non-clinicians. The Division holds a silver award for the Athena Swan Charter which recognizes advancement of gender equality and aims for representation, progression, and success for all.About the role

About youThe post holder must have a PhD degree in biosensor, electrochemistry, materials chemistry, biotechnology or medical devices or in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
Expertise in biosensor, electrochemical sensors, point-of-care medical diagnostics, lab-on-a-chip, organ-on-a-chips, tissue engineering devices
Experience in fabrication of medical devices, electrospinning and polymer science and engineering.
The successful holder must have scientific rigor and excellent analytical and synthetic capabilities with proven ability and commitment to carry out high quality original researchExperience in electrospinning, tissue engineering, muscle tissue modelling, and cell culture and characterization would be an advantageous.What we offerAs well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer some great benefits some of which are below:
