Offer DescriptionWe are seeking motivated postdoctoral scholars with a passion for flexible bioelectronics and medical robotics to join our dynamic research team. This project focuses on developing a smart bioelectronic system that seamlessly integrates therapeutic functions with continuous monitoring capabilities. The system incorporates cutting-edge technologies in bioelectronics, soft robotics, and materials science, leveraging advanced materials and fabrication technologies. If you are excited about groundbreaking research and innovative technology in healthcare engineering, this opportunity is perfect for you.As a member of the Multiscale Intelligent Biodevices Lab (MIB), led by Dr. Rujie Sun at the University of Southampton, you will lead efforts to develop innovative bioelectronic systems that integrate real-time monitoring and therapeutic functions. Your primary focus will be designing and fabricating flexible bioelectronics that can interface seamlessly with biological tissues, combining soft robotic techniques to enhance personalized treatment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on interdisciplinary projects, pushing the frontiers of personalized medicine and health management. In this project, you will collaborate with Inha University and have access to a broad network of academic partners, including Imperial College London, University of Oxford, University of Bristol, and University of Liverpool. Additionally, we work closely with industrial and clinical collaborators, providing opportunities for fostering new partnerships and expanding your professional network.The successful applicant should have required qualifications and experience

  • Education: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related disciplines with a strong academic record (Or working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD).
  • Research Interests: Demonstrated enthusiasm for research in flexible bioelectronics, soft medical robotics, or related fields.
  • Skills: Extensive experience in microfabrication techniques for bioelectronics or soft robotics, as well as expertise in biomaterials for medical tools. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and excellent communication skills.
