Research Fellow in Evidence Synthesis

The roleThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced researcher with an enthusiasm for quantitative evidence synthesis. You will join the Bristol NIHR Evidence Synthesis Group, one of nine groups contracted by the NIHR to conduct evidence syntheses within the NIHR remit.You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team benefiting from working alongside international leaders in the field of evidence synthesis. You will also work closely with other team members including other reviewers, statisticians, information specialists, qualitative researchers and health economists.What will you be doing?You will contribute to research administration tasks required for the smooth running of Bristol ESG and successful delivery of our NIHR contract. As a lead reviewer, you will manage the day-to-day review processes and project-related administration. You will co-ordinate and make major contributions across all aspects of the review process, including screening to identify studies eligible for inclusion in the review; extraction of information about included studies; evaluation of the quality or risk of bias of the included studies; and synthesis of the results of these studies using an appropriate approach (e.g., using meta-analysis or descriptive syntheses). There will also be opportunities to contribute to other reviews and to develop related methodological research projects. You will lead the preparation of reports and papers for publication and co-ordinate activities to maximise engagement with research and/or impact beyond academia.You should apply ifYou have:
