This is a chance to hitch the thrilling MAGMA (Magma Lodging and Floor Motion Evaluation) venture funded by NERC, which goals to rework volcano deformation modelling. Your function is versatile in its focus however you’ll interact with many elements of the venture, together with fieldwork (Chile, Iceland, USA), rock mechanic experiments, analogue modelling, and Finite Factor modelling. You’ll maintain a PhD (or near completion) within the Earth Sciences, have expertise in conducting geological fieldwork, and have a working information of magma emplacement and volcano deformation.
