Job Description:Grade UE08- £49,250- £60,321College of Science & Engineering- School of Physics & AstronomyFull-time: 35 hours per weekFixed-term: 3 yearsThe Opportunity:To work in the field of Weak Gravitational Lensing and on the European Space Agency (ESA) Euclid Dark Energy Mission, as a member of the Institute for Astronomy at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh.This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.   • PhD In Astronomy, Physics or Maths, or equivalent knowledge in a relevant discipline
  • Strong background in Cosmology and Weak Lensing
  • Experience of scientific software development
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical methods, and likelihood analysis
